If you are registered, you have the right to vote. If anyone tries to stop you, call or text the Election Protection Hotline a 1-866-687-8683.
The General Election is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. You vote at a polling location based on your address. You must be registered to vote by October 15, 2024. Details here.
West Virginia does not generally allow voting by mail. Some people may vote by mail if they meet requirements, such as military service, school, travel, advanced age, or disability. Application must be received by your county clerk by October 30. Details here.
West Virgina requires a form of identification to vote. It does not need to be a driver's license or photo ID. There are many forms, such as your voter registration card, a utility bill, bank statement, more. Details here.
You can enter your name, date of birth, and county to pull up a sample ballot you can review and print off. Details here.
Early voting in West Virginia runs October 23 - November 2, including both Saturdays. There is at least one location available in each county, usually the Court House located in the County Seat. Several counties have multiple locations. Details here.
