WVFDW 62nd Annual Meeting
Our 62nd Annual Meeting will take place September 11-13 at Mountaineer Conference Center at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, 2120 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801.
We have loads of great workshops and speakers lined up. We will conduct our annual business meeting. Our newly reorganized clubs in Boone, Morgan, and Wyoming counties and 50 year + members will be honored. Like-minded folks are welcome!

Keynote speaker Shanté Ellis
Shanté Ellis is a proud Brooklyn, New York, native who has called West Virginia home since 2016. She currently serves as Director of the WVSU Economic Development Center, where she is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs, supporting small businesses, and creating pathways for economic opportunity and sustainable growth across the region.
A Certified Diversity Professional with a master's degree in education and a certificate in civic engagement from Harvard University, Shanté brings a passion for inclusive leadership, community engagement, and collaboration to her work. Her leadership and advocacy have earned her numerous honors, including the Legacy of Women recipient of the Elizabeth Mason Harden Gilmore Award and the 2024 Visibility Award from the West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Through her dedication to service and community empowerment, Shanté continues to inspire progress and champion opportunities that strengthen communities across West Virginia.
